REGISTRATION DEADLINE JULY 5, 2010
The Miramichi Salmon Association will hold their
fifth annual Miramichi Salmon Classic from July 11 to July 14, 2010, a four day event with three days of fishing on
the Miramichi River. You are invited to come to Miramichi and experience fishing the Little South West Miramichi, Renous,
Dungarvon, Main South West Miramichi and many other classic tributaries with Miramichi Salmon Association volunteer guides.A
three day hook and release license is also provided.
Opening Day
The Miramichi Salmon Classic will kick off on the evening of Sunday, July 11th with registration
and meet and greet at the Rodd Miramichi Hotel. Participants will meet some of the famous guides of the Miramichi, such as
Vince Swazey and Debbie Norton. You will also meet your volunteer guides and discover the pools you will be fishing. The registration
desk will open at 3:00pm.
Gala Banquet
A
gala banquet at the Rodd Miramichi Hotel will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. The gala banquet is also open to local
supporters of the Miramichi Salmon Association and the cost is $50.00 if not registered for the Classic.
What About Fishing?
All fishing will take place in the mornings and evenings, starting on Monday, July 12th and ending
at 11 am on Wednesday, July 14th, 2009. Lunch will be provided on Monday and Tuesday (locations will be released at a later
date), with a final barbeque at the Miramichi Salmon Conservation Centre at noon on Wednesday.
Costs for the Miramichi Salmon Classic
The Miramichi Salmon Classic
fee is $350 Canadian which includes 3 days of fishing, a 3 day hook and release licence, a volunteer guide service and the
opening banquet. Transportation and accommodations are your responsibility and we are posting a variety of motels, cabins
and outfitters on our website for your convenience. If you have a fishing partner that
you want to fish with during the Miramichi Salmon Classic, please indicate that on your registration form. For those that
are interested in the banquet only, the ticket price is $50 Canadian per person.
