The Miramichi Salmon Association’s 12th Annual Miramichi Salmon Classic, a four-day event with three days of fishing on the Miramichi River, will be held from July 9th – 12th, 2017. The fee is $350 CAD for first time participants and $450 CAD for returnees. This is a great introduction to fishing the Miramichi Watershed and we encourage all participants to get to know our outfitters on this trip so they can fish the Miramichi again next season.

Sunday – Miramichi Kinsmen Centre
Registration: 3:00pm – 4:45pm
Lobster Supper: 7:00pm (Includes raffle, silent auction, small live auction)
*Chicken is also available for those who prefer it.
At registration, you will receive your fishing rotation, maps, and fishing license. This is an opportunity to meet the guides you will be fishing with as well as the other anglers. Dress is casual and if you would like to bring someone that is not registered for the Classic, tickets are available at $50.00 each – contact Kate Flanagan via email or at (506) 622-4000.
Monday and Tuesday
Meet your guide: 7:00am for the morning fish, 6:00pm for the evening fish
Lunch at Upper Oxbow Adventures (Monday), TBD (Tuesday)

BBQ Lunch at the Miramichi Salmon Conservation Centre
You will have the opportunity to fish pools spread out on the Northwest, Sevogle, Little Southwest, Southwest, Renous, Cains, and Dungarvon Rivers and that are a mix of public and private water. The guide stays with the pool and the anglers move around. Usually there are 2 people at each pool with one guide.
NOTE: We try to make sure everyone gets on at least 3 different rivers and some private and some public water; the final schedule is not drawn up until the week before the event. Salmon Classic 2016
The Miramichi Salmon Association’s 11th Annual Miramichi Salmon Classic was held from July 10th – 13th, 2016.
The Sunday supper was held at the Kinsmen Center with a wonderful lobster or chicken option, and was catered by Chef Brian Matheson. Everyone was in great spirits and ready to get out on the River the next morning at 7am! Great big thank you to everyone who came out, our wonderful auctioneer Gary Tanner, Brian Matheson and his excellent servers, as well as our very own Stephen Tonning who cut and prepped everyone’s lobster!
2016’s Classic was a great success with over 17 confirmed catches! A big thank you to all the participants and volunteer guides; looking forward to having you all back next year!
